GeoMSF
A boat taking MSF staff to the rural area of Portel travels through a river in the Brazilian Northern state of Pará. MSF is supporting local authorities in order to improve healthcare access to the town’s population. Portel has dealt historically with a lack of health professionals and facilities, particularly in hard-to-reach remote areas which are home to vulnerable river dweller communities.

Maximo Valeriano Martinez: Don Maximo hesitated to get vaccinated “I wanted to get vaccinated, but I have acids and colic and I also had heard a lot of bad things (about the vaccine). For this reason, I have not been vaccinated yet. There were also several people saying many things about this vaccine and this is also why I had many doubts. Some people in the mobile phones were saying that we were going to die because of this vaccine, some people say that this disease doesn’t exist, that they are just trying to poison us. You can hear many things in the mobile phones. But you explained how it works and now I can get vaccinated.” Don Maximo is one of the persons in Cochabamba that were assisted by MSF teams. Since the beginning of MSF's COVID intervention in the country, the team has organized more than 800 awareness sessions on COVID-19, so that people are sensitized, oriented and have access to correct information about the disease.

بيلاروسيا

Mental Health Care focused on women and children. Our teams focus on mental health care and provide other medical care as needed. Psychological support includes individual and group therapy, psychosocial education, and stress management.

تركمانستان

أغلقت منظمة أطباء بلا حدود مشاريعها في تركمانستان في عام 2009.
On 15 February, in collaboration with the Turkish Medical Association, a team from Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) donated various essential relief items to people affected by the earthquake in the city of Adiyaman in southern Türkiye. The donated items – including hygiene kits, electrical stoves, winter undergarments, nappies and baby food – were distributed to more than 50 families at a newly established camp for earthquake survivors. The city of Adiyaman, with a population of around 300,000, was one of the areas worst hit by the earthquake. Large numbers of buildings were damaged or are considered unsafe to return, leaving thousands of people sleeping in the open, in large camps, makeshift settlements or private cars. As in other quake-affected areas, MSF teams are coordinating with various local organisations to provide assistance to survivors.

تقدّم أطباء بلا حدود الإغاثة الطارئة إلى الأشخاص المتضررين جراء النزاعات المسلّحة والأوبئة والكوارث الطبيعية فضلاً عن أولئك المحرومين من الرعاية الصحية في أكثر من 70 بلد. وتوفّر المنظمة المساعدات للأفراد وفقاً لاحتياجاتهم وذلك بغضّ النظر عن العرق أو الدين أو الجنس أو الانتماء السياسي.

كما تمتثل المنظمة في أعمالها لأخلاقيات مهنة الطب ومبدأي الحياد وعدم التحيز.
