GeoMSF
A boat taking MSF staff to the rural area of Portel travels through a river in the Brazilian Northern state of Pará. MSF is supporting local authorities in order to improve healthcare access to the town’s population. Portel has dealt historically with a lack of health professionals and facilities, particularly in hard-to-reach remote areas which are home to vulnerable river dweller communities.

Susana small village - MSF base -prevention work & sensibilisation. After an initial assessment in Guinea Bissau, where the epidemic is quickly spreading, MSF sent a charter plane with more than 70 tons of medical and logistical supplies. An Antonov 124 left last Saturday night from Ostende airport in Belgium. The freight contains cholera kits to treat 3,000 people, first aid kits, 2,400 meters of plastic sheeting, 12 dispensary tents to set up cholera treatment centres, water tanks as well as 1,200 jerry cans and spraying equipments.

Youssef Al-Khishawi, an MSF water and sanitation agent, helps children carry water to their tent in the Tal Al-Sultan area of the southern Gaza town of Rafah, on January 27, 2024. He says: “In a normal situation, one person needs two to three liters of drinking water per day. Now, with the current shortage, the average for one family of six is one gallon of water (3.8 litres).” “The main challenge we face in distributing water is the lack of fuel to pump and transport it,” says Al-Khishawi. “The second is the lack of proper roads for our trucks to drive on, because there are tents even on the asphalt. The third is that there are no water distribution points – even they have been bombed. Water pipes, streets and infrastructures are destroyed.”

فلسطين

تقدم منظمة أطباء بلا حدود المساعدة الطبية والنفسية للناس المتضررين من النزاع المستمر في فلسطين وتستمر مع برامج الصحة النفسية التي تديرها منذ وقت طويل في الضفة الغربية وبتقديم الدعم لضحايا الحروق والإصابات.
MSF works with national authorities at San Francisco de Guayo clinic to provide medical care to communities living on the banks of the Orinoco River in Delta Amacuro state, northeastern Venezuela. The road is only by river and it takes hours to get from one place to another. MSF trabaja junto a las autoridades locales para brindar atención médica primaria a comunidades aisladas del estado Delta Amacuro, al noreste de Venezuela. El camino es sólo fluvial y toma horas trasladarse de un lugar a otro.

غادرت أطباء بلا حدود فيتنام في عام 1998 ثم عادت للعمل مجددًا في البلاد عقب ظهور وباء السارس في عام 2003.

قيرغيزستان

لا يزال معدل انتشار السل المقاوم للأدوية في قيرغيزستان التي تعتبر من أفقر بلدان منطقة آسيا الوسطى مرتفعًا جدًا.

أين نعمل

تقدّم أطباء بلا حدود الإغاثة الطارئة إلى الأشخاص المتضررين جراء النزاعات المسلّحة والأوبئة والكوارث الطبيعية فضلاً عن أولئك المحرومين من الرعاية الصحية في أكثر من 70 بلد. وتوفّر المنظمة المساعدات للأفراد وفقاً لاحتياجاتهم وذلك بغضّ النظر عن العرق أو الدين أو الجنس أو الانتماء السياسي.

كما تمتثل المنظمة في أعمالها لأخلاقيات مهنة الطب ومبدأي الحياد وعدم التحيز.
