Mission chirurgicale d’urgence en situation de guerre civile. Medina Hospital, Mogadiscio. Des le debut des hostilites a Mogadiscio, en decembre 1990, MSF a envoye une equipe medico-chirurgicale afin de porter secours aux nombreux blesses. L’equipe a ete contrainte d’evacuer a plusieurs reprises, mais depuis fevrier 1991 MSF a reussi a garder une presence permanente en Somalie. Ainsi, il a ete possible de rehabiliter le Medina Hospital (programme chirurgie de guerre et approvisionnement en medicaments), de mettre en place un programme “orthopedique” a l’hopital Benadir et de fournir un support logistique aux autres hopitaux de la ville et de la region.

Pere donnant a manger a son enfant malnutri. Le conflit avec la Somalie, la guerre de secession erythreenne, le soulevement Tigrayen, ont epuise la plus grande partie des ressources de ce pays. Chasses par la famine, des centaines de milliers de personnes ont quitte leurs villages d’Erythree, du Tigray, du Wollo, pour gagner les centres de distribution de nourriture ou les camps de refugies du Soudan. MSF intervient dans les camps de Korem et de Kobo, dans la province du Wollo: des centres de recuperation nutritionnelle ont ete mis en place, complement indispensable des salles d’hospitalisation et de convalescence, de la maternite, du laboratoire et des centres de consultation.

وسط الغبار واليأس، الانتظار هو الخيار الوحيد أمام النازحين داخل سوريا

خلال السنوات السبع الأخيرة، ينبت محصول جديد في حقول إدلب، شمال سوريا. ما بين التلال المتموجة وحقول الزيتون، تنبثق الخيم المتدلية من الأرض لتأوي مئات الآلاف من السوريين الذين فروا من عمليات القتال. "إنه النزوح الرابع لنا"، هذا ما يقوله سليمان، الذي أتى من ريف حماه الشرقي. يشرح لنا كيف أجبرته الحرب على التنقل من مكان إلى آخر قبل بقائه منذ أربعة أشهر في هذه الخيمة البيضاء، الملطخة بلون التراب الأحمر، مع زوجته وأطفاله الأربعة. "حين حضرنا في بادئ الأمر إلى هنا، قدّمت لنا بعض المنظمات المساعدة، لكن الآن ومنذ ثلاثة أشهر، لم يبقَ لدينا شيء."

أصيب الآلاف من الرجال والنساء والأطفال في شمال نيجيريا بتفشي التهاب السحايا C، الذي يشا إليه كأكبر تفشٍ ضرب البلاد خلال السنوات التسع الماضية، بعد ستة أشهر تقريباً من تسجيل إصابة الحالات الأولى في ولاية زمفارا لا تزال وزارة الصحة النيجيريّة تُعاني في سبيل مكافحة هذا الوباء في سبع ولايات بالبلاد. تحديث حول مشروع - 25 مايو/أيار 2018

منذ 1 أبريل/نيسان، قدّمت فرق منظمة أطباء بلا حدود في غزة رعاية ما بعد العمليات الجراحية لأكثر من 500 شخص أصيبوا بأعيرة نارية خلال مظاهرات مسيرة العودة، حيث فاق عدد المرضى الذين عولجوا في عياداتنا على مدار الأسابيع الثلاثة الماضية العدد الذي عالجناه طوال عام 2014، عندما أطلقت إسرائيل ما أسمته بعملية الجرف الصامد العسكرية على قطاع غزة. تحديث حول مشروع - 19 ابريل/نيسان 2018

أطباء بلا حدود تفتح مستشفىً في قلب أحد المخيمات الكبيرة التي تؤوي اللاجئين الروهينغا

افتتحت أطباء بلا حدود مستشفىً جديداً في قلب مخيم كوتوبالونغ بالوكالي الذي يؤوي نحو 700,000 لاجئ روهينغي في بنغلاديش. ولن تواجه صعوبة في العثور على المستشفى فهو يقع فوق واحد من التلال العديدة التي تشكل طبيعة كوكس بازار، ولعل اسمه يعبِّر عنه خير تعبير: "المستشفى التلة. تحديث حول مشروع - 16 ابريل/نيسان 2018
 
Humaid, 45 years old, is from Dhiban, in Deir ez-Zor. Five of his daughters (Sedar (4 years old), Dumua (5), Butul (6), Arimas (9) and Lamis (13)) were on the rooftop of the house when they were severely injured by a booby-trap. Sedar, the youngest, has been partially amputated of both legs, and Lamis, the eldest, of one leg. “We fled Dhiban because of the clashes. Once the situation calmed down I went back by myself to check the house and did not see any suspicious device, so I brought my family as well.” The accident that almost killed the girls happened two month later. “The girls had never seen a mine before, how could a child know about a mine? They put the mines in the fridge, in the door handle, under the carpet, inside the Quran. The hospital is full of people who have amputated legs. What was the fault of the children? They are not part of the conflict. This is not a war, it’s a war against human.”
