MSF’s Aden hospital: consists of ER (4 patients’ capacity), 3 OT (one is dedicated to internal fixation), ICU (10 beds), 6 IPD (58 beds), 2 isolation wards (total of 15 beds), OPD, physiotherapy, health education and support services: general/bacteriological lab, X-Ray, sterilization, ambulances, pharmacy, laundry and management offices.
In 2017, MSF Aden hospital provided 4502 ER Consultations, received 1798 IPD Admissions 448 ICU Admissions, performed 4193 Surgical Procedures and16 Internal Fixations.

يوم الأربعاء 13 يونيو/حزيران، أطلقت قوات موالية للرئيس هادي مدعومة من التحالف الذي تقوده كل من السعودية والإمارات، أطلقت رسمياً عملية عسكرية لاستعادة مدينة الحديدة من جماعة أنصار الله (الحوثيين). ومازال نحو 600,000 شخص يعيشون في المدينة. تمر معظم الواردات إلى اليمن عبر ميناء الحديدة الواقع على البحر الأحمر، وهو بالتالي أحد شرايين الحياة القليلة المتبقية للناس الذين يعيشون في شمال اليمن. تقوم أطباء بلا حدود حالياً بتعزيز قدرتها الطبية في المنطقة. أصوات من الميدان - 2 يوليو/تموز 2018

Aquarius leaves Valencia harbour. The search and rescue vessel leaves Valencia after an unacceptable 8 days odyssey and 3 days in Spain. Aquarius will be heading back to the international waters off the coast of Libya to keep on saving lives. After disembarking 106 people rescued in Valencia last Sunday, Aquarius has been doing resupplying works.

A newly installed submersible pump brings water to the community in an expansion area of the Kutupalong-Balukhali Rohingya refugee camp, April 18, 2018. MSF has provided hundreds of hand pumped wells and drilled 25 deep bore holes for motorised pumps, bringing over 32 million litres of water to the camp so far. The provision of safe drinking water in the camp is as much a life-saving priority as medical care.

تفشي جديد لمرض فيروس الايبولا يُصيب 44 شخصًا في شمال شرق البلاد

تم الإعلان عن تفشي الإيبولا في مقاطعة إكواتور في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية. وقد أصابت العدوى 44 شخصًا في شمال شرق البلاد ظهرت عليهم أعراض الحمى النزفية في حين تم تأكيد وجود فيروس الايبولا لدى 3 حالات و قامت السلطات الصحية الوطنية بالاعلام ب23 حالة وفاة. تحديث حول مشروع - 25 يونيو/حزيران 2018

Noora is ten years old girl that is diagnosed with thalassemia. The MSF team in Syria met Noora and her mother, Jawhara, in Tal Abyad hospital.

Noora’s mother said: "We started doing blood transfusion for Noora when she was two months old."

"We fled from Deir ez-Zor to Tal Abyad. It takes us 15 minutes to arrive to the hospital for the blood transfusion sessions. Noora has a blood transfusion session once every 14 days, but it’s still quite a challenge. The most worrying part is not finding the medication to reduce the iron in her blood. There is limited awareness about the disease in the country and due to conflict in the country sometimes the medication or the blood units are not available."

"Noora couldn't play like other kids, sometimes she used to come back home crying."

"We hope we will find a bone marrow transplantation donor but so far we haven’t and we can't afford it."

MSF has started providing chelation treatment to children with thalassemia in Tal Abyad national hospital.

$L’équipe médicale MSF réfère un patient depuis Bani Walid vers une structure de soin secondaire. Il souffre d’une fracture ouverte et infectée du tibia. La très grande majorité des patients pris en charge à Bani Walid ont réchappé de prisons clandestines présentes dans la région. Ils ont été kidnappés, torturés, et retenus captifs par des réseaux criminels qui leur font vivre un calvaire pour obtenir d’eux une rançon. Ces rescapés sont profondément affaiblis, avec des plaies qui se sont infectées, et de multiples traumatismes. MSF medics refer a patient from Bani Walid to a secondary health facility. The patient suffers from open and infected fracture of the shin. The vast majority of patients taken care of in Bani Walid manage to survive and escape secret prisons in the region. They were kidnapped, tortured, and held captive by criminal networks which make them live an ordeal to obtain ransom from them and their relatives. These survivors are profoundly weakened, with infected wounds and multiple traumas.$
