GeoMSF
A boat taking MSF staff to the rural area of Portel travels through a river in the Brazilian Northern state of Pará. MSF is supporting local authorities in order to improve healthcare access to the town’s population. Portel has dealt historically with a lack of health professionals and facilities, particularly in hard-to-reach remote areas which are home to vulnerable river dweller communities.

The composition of the cholera hygiene kits MSF donated to families in the community of Kanana in Hammankskraal, South Africa, is derived from a study MSF conducted with London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, which showed that these items can bend the curve of a cholera outbreak when given to patients who are discharged.

جنوب السودان

يتعرّض مئات الآلاف من الأشخاص في جنوب السودان إلى العنف الشديد ويعيشون في حالة خوف دائم على حياتهم ما يحول دون حصولهم على احتياجاتهم الأساسية مثل الطعام والماء والرعاية الصحية.

In Dr Jikia’s opinion, new TB drugs are making patients more optimistic about recovering from drug-resistant forms of the disease: “Of course the patients count on these medicines more than the medicines they used to take previously, because they can see better results.” She adds that DR-TB remains a very complex disease to treat, highlighting the need for simpler and more user-friendly treatments in the future: “this disease is like a dragon with nine heads and we have to execute all nine heads. If we miss even one it will develop again. For this you need to be strong.”

جورجيا

A young boy waits for his family member outside of the MSF sponsored Kinoni Centre de Sante in Ruhengeri province, Rwanda. 2005 In October 2002, MSF started the preparations for a reproductive health program in Ruhengeri: the maternity ward of the provincial hospital in Ruhengeri and 6 health centers in Gitare health district. . Working closely with local community actors, this program has various areas of intervention: obstetrical emergencies, medical and psychological care for survivors of sexual violence, implementation of family planning in the health centers and, among access to the minimum package of health care to the whole population of this 6 health centers, maintenance of all general reproductive health services (staff training, sexually transmitted infection prevention, delivery and post-natal care and improving health during pregnancy). In early 2005, the program also integrated HIV/AIDS (but ending end of the year) and sexual violence constituents, with psychological support to women victims of sexual abuse. To assure the financial access for care to the population, the project negotiates low flat fees, as well as insuring free care for the poorest section of society.

رواندا

عملت أطباء بلا حدود في رواندا حتى عام 2007 عندما أنهت مشاريعها بعد 16 عاماً من العمل في البلاد.

عملت منظمة أطباء بلا حدود بشكل متواصل في رومانيا بين عامي 1997 و2003.

أين نعمل

تقدّم أطباء بلا حدود الإغاثة الطارئة إلى الأشخاص المتضررين جراء النزاعات المسلّحة والأوبئة والكوارث الطبيعية فضلاً عن أولئك المحرومين من الرعاية الصحية في أكثر من 70 بلد. وتوفّر المنظمة المساعدات للأفراد وفقاً لاحتياجاتهم وذلك بغضّ النظر عن العرق أو الدين أو الجنس أو الانتماء السياسي.

كما تمتثل المنظمة في أعمالها لأخلاقيات مهنة الطب ومبدأي الحياد وعدم التحيز.
