على مدار الأشهر الاثني عشر الماضية، شهدت فرق أطباء بلا حدود استمرار نزاعات والتصعيد في حدّتها كما هو الحال في غزة والسودان حيث دخلت الحروب الشعواء عامها الثاني. هذا وقد وقفت إلى جانب الأشخاص والعائلات الباحثة عن الأمان، سواء على الحدود المكسيكية أو على متن سفينتنا للبحث والإنقاذ جيو بارنتس التي تجوب البحر الأبيض المتوسّط.
وفي هذه الصور الخمس والستين التي التُقطت بين ديسمبر/كانون الأول 2023 وديسمبر/كانون الأول 2024، نسلّط الضوء على النجاحات والعثرات التي خضناها إلى جانب الناس الذين نقدّم لهم المساعدة الطبية والإنسانية في أكثر من 70 بلدًا. تخلّد هذه الصور بعض اللحظات الحاسمة في مسيرتنا، كاضطرارنا إلى تعليق أنشطتنا في عاصمة هايتي، بالإضافة إلى لحظات أخرى يملؤها الفرح والصمود كصورة لأمّ تلتقي رضيعها للمرة الأولى في جنوب السودان. تعكس جميع هذه الصور كيف يمكن للإدلاء بالشهادات أن يكون همزة وصلٍ بين الناس.
تخفف الرعاية الطبية من الألم في أشد الظروف صعوبة. ونستلهم من تفاني فرقنا لتوفير الرعاية إلى الناس، حتى مع تزايد العقبات من حولنا والتي تصعّب علينا هذا المسار.

Pendant la nuit du mercredi 24 et du jeudi 25 janvier, une petite embarcation semi-rigide (appelée aussi « small boat ») quittait le canal de Gravelines, près de Grand-Fort-Philippe, dans le nord de la France, en direction de l’Angleterre. La police essayait d’empêcher les dernières personnes d’embarquer le semi-rigide avant qu’il ne prenne le large pour tenter la traversée de la Manche.

During the night of Wednesday January 24 and Thursday January 25, a small semi-rigid boat (also known as a "small boat") left the Gravelines canal, near Grand-Fort-Philippe in northern France, for England. ![Mohammed was displaced from Al-Hasahisa camp as fighting started between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the camp. Mohammed and his family endured months of bombings and lack of water, that was blocked from entering the camp. Eventually, together with his family he fled his home in the camp and came to the University of Zalingei.
“We managed to escape with our children, and left all of our belongings,” explains Mohammed. “When we left Al-Hasahisa camp, they beat me seriously. Also, my brother was seriously beaten, and now he is unable to move, sick at home.”
Over a thousand people are living in the University compound, most displaced from Al-Hasahisa camp. As one of the first ones to arrive to the looted and damaged university campus, Mohammed was able to secure an office space for him and his family.
As most humanitarian actors have not returned to Sudan after the war started over a year ago, displaced people have been largely cut from humanitarian assistance.
“Sometimes we cut trees to get fire food to support the family, but [so far] we haven´t received any humanitarian support,” explains Mohammed. “I’m trying to work as a carrier, but the salary is too little.”
As food and medicine prices spiked and health care services collapsed in most of the country, those displaced rarely receive medical care and medicine. At the University, people are trying to collaborate to gain access to medication.
