Millicent Atieno was first tested and found to be HIV positive in 2004 and put on treatment. Her husband also died in 2002 from an unknown disease she suspected to be HIV. She had issues with adherence, which led to several attacks by opportunistic infections that got her hospitalized many times. She is currently on 2nd line of therapy for HIV and is being closely followed up through MSF’s Post-Discharge Clinic.
