On average, each of them has access to 6L of clean water per day. This is all they can get as there are no extra water containers. International standard is all individuals should have access to a minimum 15L of clean water per day to ensure good health conditions.

Commune of Ranobe, Amboasary District. People in the south-east of Madagascar are facing the most acute nutritional and food crisis the region has seen in recent years. MSF began setting up mobile clinics in Amboasary district in late March to screen and treat acute malnutrition in remote villages like those of Ranobe commune, providing ready-to-use therapeutic food and medical care.

France walks out of the MSF’s SICA hospital on 22 January 2021 after completing her inpatient treatment. She will continue to receive outpatient care and come back regularly to the MSF SICA’s Hospital for wound dressing, physiotherapy sessions and more. France Beldo, 31, was wounded on 13 January 2021 attack in the outskirts of Bangui, Central African Republic. While at home in Damala neighbourhood, close to the fighting, a stray bullet hit her hand, chest and shoulder, without damaging an important organ.

Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff - most of them hired locally. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of independence and impartiality. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation.
