LTAs

Extra Benefits provided to Long Terms assignments are:

-         Extra Paid Leave, intended to allow them to sustain a field work rhythm for the duration of their assignment. This extra leave is managed in discussion with the HoM and HR (HRCo and/or HRO in the desk/cell) in link with overall management and needs of the mission.

-         Extra returns home when going on assignment without accompanying dependents/partner in the field, to maintain a connection to their home society while on assignment.

-         Home Child Allowance: A monthly allowance when dependent children remain in their country of domicile, with extra criteria depending on the Operational Center.

-         Extra luggage: 20kg Extra luggage is covered by MSF on departure and return from mission equal to or longer than 12 months.

LTA 12 - Long-Term Assignment 12 to 23 Months

INITIAL commitment to the position/assignment (at departure): 12 to 23 months.

Extra Benefits:

-         Extra Paid Leave: 5 additional days per year (i.e. 30 days per year in total, prorated for missions of 13 to 23 months, for example, this means 45 days paid leave in total if committing from the start for 18 months)

-         Home Child Allowance: YES as per general and OC specific rules

-         Additional Luggage: YES

LTA 24 – Long Term Assignment of 24 months (or more)

INITIAL commitment to the position/assignment (at departure): 24 months or more.

Extra Benefits:

-         Extra Paid Leave: 10 additional days per year (i.e. 35 days per year in total, so 70 days in total over the 24 months of the assignment).  This extra leave is added prorated for a mission of more than 24 months.

-         Home Child Allowance: YES as per general and OC specific rules

-         Additional Luggage: YES
