Al-Salam Hospital in Khamer, Amran governorate where MSF manages operates. The town of Khamer is a very humble one where people depend on agriculture, handicrafts and trade in earning their living. It is a mountainous area that the hospital is the only one in the area. There is only another one public hospital in the entire governorate of Amran consisting of 20 districts. <br/>In Khamer, Amran governorate, MSF manages the maternity, paedatric, surgical and emergency departments of Al-Salam hospital, where it employs 140 Yemeni staff and treats an average of 1500 patients per month, free of charge.

Taju Hassene Turdo Yemen is a country of transit for the thousands of migrants who leave the Horn of Africa to try to get to the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, mainly from Ethiopia to Saudi Arabia. During the trip and especially in Yemen, these people are victims of traffickers who extort money from them and torture them. Last April, the Yemeni authorities carried out a campaign to release hundreds of migrants held by traffickers and begin to repatriate them to their home countries. Since then, the number of people who voluntarily approach the detention center for migrants seeking repatriation has greatly increased. The detention center in Sana'a, Yemen's capital, has a maximum capacity of 200-250; the centre currently houses about 750.

Following an attack in Kamango village in DRC the 11th of July around 50000 people fled and crossed the border to take refuge in Uganda along the border. Most of refugees stayed at bordering areas within the hosting community and in a transit camp called Bubukwanga, 18 km from the Congolese border (close to Bundibugyo town) where 17000 have been registered by the UNHCR. MSF team has started an emergency intervention in the Transit Centre of Bubukwanga since 18th of July : OPD (300 consultations per day (malaria, Acute respiratory infection, water diarrheas, malnutrition), IDP (30 beds), measle vaccination etc + water supply and sanitation.
