About 500 residents of Bangassou came to the hospital compound hoping that the fighters would not attack a medical structure. They were regrouped with the displaced people of the mosque and those of the church, Monday evening on the ground of the church of Bangassou.

Team dispatched following Ebola confirmation

One case of Ebola has been confirmed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in the Likati health zone of Bas Uele Province in the north of the Democratic Republic of Congo. A total of nine cases, including three deaths are so far being investigated. Project Update - 12 May 2017

For years, the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, which borders Nigeria and Chad, has suffered the consequences of the armed conflict between Boko Haram and the armies of the area. Around 240,000 people have had their lives interrupted by the conflict, and have been forced to live in the camps for internally displaced and refugees that have proliferated throughout the region.

HIV patient in the CTA (Ambulatory Treatment Center) of Matam. She came to have a consultation as she does not feel well. As her symptoms shows that she may have malaria she has been sent to the laboratory to do the test. The laboratory assistant do a rapid diagnostic test (RDT) for malaria. 

In the CTA of Matam, MSF provides the higher HIV care in the capital Conakry for patient living with HIV; including free access to ARV treatment, medical and psychosocial support. Further decentralisation of HIV services and upgrading of primary healthcare centres are integrated into Ministry of Health facilities taking over to improve HIV patients access to care and ARV treatment everywhere.
