Medecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is one of the last organisations operating in North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Other organisations have had to cease their activities due to the suspension of funding. Our teams are continuing to provide essential care. 

Supporting healthcare in the region is critical, as people in Goma, the capital of North Kivu, are living under the control of the AFC/M23 armed group. These communities endure the threat of conflict, sexual violence, and limited access to farming, healthcare, and work. The peace agreement signed in December 2025 has been unable to end the daily violence, economic hardships, and struggle for survival. The testimonies from isolated and deeply affected individuals, (particularly single women and farmers), expose this struggle.
