Tented and inflatable facilities bring peace of mind to surgery patients in Haiti

New buildings that act as hospitals as well as tented and inflatable facilities. There teams have started performing surgeries and have space for around 180 patients in the tented wards. Terrible memories of what happened to solid buildings during the earthquake have made many patients fearful of staying inside a normal hospital. MSF plane with lifesaving medical supplies diverted from landing in Haiti

Essential materials, including medical supplies and an inflatable hospital, have been diverted from the Haiti airport to neighbouring Dominican Republic and then brought to the earthquake zone by land. With overwhelming damage to Haiti's infrastructure, travelling by road is a very time consuming method.
