An Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) vehicle was damaged in an explosion early Friday morning in Mogadishu.

The two people in the car - a driver and one passenger - were not hurt in the explosion.

The blast occurred in Dayniile district where MSF runs a 35-bed hospital.

It is unclear what caused the explosion. MSF is currently looking into the incident. No further information is available at this time.

MSF has been working in Somalia since 1991.
