PK5 is an area where traditionally Muslims and Christians live together. At the beginning of January, 30% of our patients were Muslim, but this has now decreased to only a few as they have fled or fear to go outside. Beginning of February, MSF start a mobile clinic to the large central mosque in Bangui (PK5 neighborhood), where about 2,000 displaced Muslims are living in fear and not daring to get to our clinic. MSF provides daily water supply on this site (20m3 per day) + PK 12 camps : MSF is carrying out mobile clinics in the PK12 camp, where there are approximately 1,500 displaced people.

Following the armed conflict in Masisi territory, North Kivu province, people have moved heavily into the bush and over 2000 people have taken refuge in the house MSF and Nyabiondo Referent Health Center that MSF supports since 2009. Sanitary facilities were rehabilitated, water points created and tarpaulins were distributed to displaced persons. Hygiene committees were established. Many abuses were committed against the civilian population, villages were burned and homes looted

The South Sudanese key strategic town of Malakal came under attack on February 18. The clashes between government and opposition forces forced thousands of people to flee to other locations or to the UN compound in the town. Roughly 21,000 people were crammed into this camp.
