Since the closure of the Jordan/Syria borders on 21 June, war-wounded Syrians have been systematically denied entry through Jordan’s northwestern borders to Ramtha hospital, where MSF runs an emergency trauma surgical project to treat those injured in the ongoing conflict in Syria. What was once a busy hospital has been left with very few patients, yet MSF operations continue at same speed to attend to the medical needs of war-wounded Syrians.

Doctors Without Borders condemned Thursday the "outrageous" air strike on a hospital it was supporting in the war-torn northern Syrian city of Aleppo, where doctors were among those killed. Local rescue workers said the overnight strike on the Al-Quds hospital and a nearby residential building left 30 people dead. Among them was the only paediatrician operating in the rebel-controlled eastern parts of Aleppo city, they said. Doctors Without Borders, which is also known by the acronym MSF, said two doctors were among 14 people killed in the strike on the hospital. In an online statement Thursday, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said it had been donating medical supplies to Al-Quds since 2012. A hospital supported by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is destroyed by an aerial bombing in Millis town, Idlib Governorate, Syria on Saturday 06 August. Killing four hospital staff and nine others, including children. The hospital was struck with two direct (and two in the immediate vicinity) aerial strikes at around 2:00pm local time. Six other hospital staff were wounded. The bombing substantially destroyed the building, and the hospital is currently closed. This comes in the midst of an escalation in intensity of conflict in Idlib Governorate.
