We set up the MSF Access Campaign in 1999 to push for access to, and the development of, life-saving and life-prolonging medicines, diagnostic tests and vaccines for people in our programmes and beyond.

Sierra Leone has one of the world's highest child mortality rates (282 out of every 1,000 children die before their fifth birthday) and much of this is due to malaria. Republic of Congo

Cholera intervention focuses on coastal city in Congo-Brazzaville

Since January, MSF has sent two cholera kits (one for Pointe Noire and one for Brazzaville) as well as 14,000 litres of fluids to Pointe Noire. The MSF cholera kit contains 4,000 litres of drips, antibiotics, plasticized cover sheets, soap, disinfectant and chlorine as well as gloves for the nursing staff.
