MSF is undertaking a quick life saving intervention in the Arero-area since there is a lack of supplementary food assistance there. The main objective is to feed children under-5 screened with the MUAC method (assessing the degree of malnutrition by measuring the middle upper arm circumference) for one month, assess water needs and prepare nutritional assessment in the coming weeks. Feeding programme for Denan

MSF is developing a Therapeutic Feeding Programme in Denan, a town in the Gode region of Ethiopia. It is expected the programme will be operational within a week. The town is located about 1.5 hours drive from Gode. The TFP will consist of a minimum of two Therapeutic Feeding Centres (TFC) to target the malnourished population there. Care to the stranded - who must still await rescue

MSF teams in Chokwe are distributing potable water and BP5 high protein biscuits to the stranded population there. In order to have faster access to the population MSF teams remained in the flooded area overnight where they stayed in a basic structure installed on the roof of a factory there.
