Through collaborative efforts, Climate Smart MSF is standardizing carbon accounting practices across the movement to ensure consistency and reliability in our calculations. By Q2 2024, five Operational Centers (OCs) and two European Supply Centers (ESCs) apply a common methodology for emissions calculations. Methodologies to accurately assess and manage greenhouse gas emissions within our organization.

COMMON METHODOLOGY ON CARBON FOOTPRINT CALCULATION IN MSF - Sept 2023

This report will expose methodological principles focusing on the following points:
- The concept of internal and external emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3);
- The scope of the sources of emissions to be accounted for;
- The data to be used and the way to process;
