MSF has been working in Donetsk since 2011, running a program to treat patients with drug-resistant tuberculosis within the regional penitentiary system. With continued fighting in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, MSF is providing medical supplies to hospitals in the region.
Since March 2014, MSF has also been  running a mental health program to provide counselling to victims of violence, as well as technical and emotional support for mental health professionals who were delivering psychological care.
