Mr Leung, aged 72, was in a dilemma when he came for a consultation at the MSF mobile vaccination clinic. He was concerned about the rising number of unvaccinated individuals dying. He would like to be vaccinated but is worried about the adverse effects of the vaccines and whether his heart condition allows it. Dr Joyce Ching, MSF medical doctor, spent more than half an hour listening closely to his worries and analysing his medical condition. It’s an approach that the MSF mobile team has used to ensure that the care we provide is people-centred, attentive, dignified and addressing the root cause of hesitancy about vaccines.
