In Maputo and Beira, we run targeted HIV activities to support vulnerable or stigmatised groups, including a drop-in centre in Maputo for people who use drugs, and sexual and reproductive health services, including HIV testing and treatment, for sex workers and men who have sex with men.
A slow burning conflict in Cabo Delgado province, in the country’s northeast, escalated in 2020, with people attacked and left homeless or displaced. We provide medical care, water and sanitation support, and relief items such as hygiene and cooking items to those in displaced people’s camps.
MSF teams are currently responding to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Mozambique.
