Burkina Faso

The security situation in Burkina Faso has rapidly deteriorated since 2018, with jihadist groups attacking people and civilian property.

The conflict, which includes fighting between opposing armed groups, have caused nearly one million people to flee their homes for safety, ending up in internally displaced people's camps, often with little food or water.

MSF teams are also responding to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in the country, providing care to patients in isolation units and dedicated COVID-19 facilities.
