MSF team dispatched to villages hit by earthquake in Balochistan, southwestern Pakistan
In the early hours of this morning, Médecins Sans Frontières sent a team directly from the village Quetta to Ziarat in Balochistan, southwestern Pakistan, where reports are that this is the worst hit area. The region has been hit by an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale.

Blankets have been distributed and drugs donated to the Ministry of Health in Ziarat.

The team is now on its way to the Khan Kosi, also reported to be hard hit, to assess needs and respond where needed. The team started treating wounded in a village on the way. More tents, cooking sets, jerry cans, blankets and body bags and medical stocks are also being prepared.
