Vacancy: IT Developer - Database Manager

The MSF Movement exists to fulfil its humanitarian charter. The MSF movement is composed of 19 sections, that all hold equal membership in MSF International. Each section has an association, composed mainly of field volunteers and returned field volunteers. Each association elects a board and chooses a President who heads the section’s association and represents its section at the International Council. The International Council represents the international associative dimension of the MSF movement and is tasked to oversee the implementation of the social mission of MSF at the international level.

The “Bureau International de Médecins Sans Frontières” (IO) is an association by Swiss law based in Geneva. It is the only legal entity, which binds all MSF sections together, as the 19 sections agree to its statutes, are members, and pay its costs.  The IO is not a ‘head office’ but rather a forum for addressing and guiding issues that affect or could affect the whole movement.  The IO also provides resources in terms of information and co-ordination to the benefit of its members.

The MSF International Secretary General (ISG) directs and manages the MSF international office. The object of the Association is to assist the sections of MSF in fulfilling their mission, collectively and individually as described in the Charter. As such MSF International carries the collective ambitions of the sections in improving the relevance, effectiveness and quality of MSF’s operations and public positioning.
