80,000 South Sudanese refugees in Ethiopia

These people have just arrived from South Sudan. They've been walking for weeks, fleeing from persecution and food shortages back home. Though they may feel safer here in Pagak transit centre, if the level of aid does not dramatically increase, they'll be no better off this side of the border.

The Gambella region lies in the west of Ethiopia, on the border with South Sudan. 2 April 2014 - 80,000 South Sudanese refugees are registered there.
