Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) confirms that on the night of August 4, 2009, one of the MSF compounds in Chad was robbed by armed assailants. After the robbery, one international and one national staff member were reported missing.

Currently we have no knowledge about their whereabouts.

MSF is in contact with the families of the staff members involved and with relevant local, national and international authorities. MSF is doing everything in its power to ensure a safe return of our colleagues.
