Photo of the Week: Medical Care for the displaced in Mingkaman Camp, South Sudan

More than 70 000 Internally displaced people (IDPs) fleeing the fighting that took place in Bor in January 2014, have crossed the Nile to reach Awerial on the west side of the Nile in the Lakes State in South Sudan. MSF has provided water, and has opened four outpatient departments (OPDs) and one inpatient department (IPD) during this crisis. After the arrival of several other NGOs, MSF has reduced activities keeping just IPD and one OPD. The number of IDPs has increased to almost 100,000 persons in an open IDP camp called Mingkaman.
