MSF International Activity Report 2016
In 2016, MSF provided humanitarian assistance in 71 countries.
Around 45 per cent of activities were carried out in settings of instability. Some 58% per cent of programmes were in Africa, while 28 per cent were in Asia and the Middle East, 5 per cent in the Americas, 8 per cent in Europe and 1 per cent in the Pacific.
MSF spent nearly 1,459 million euros: 83 per cent was spent on humanitarian activities while 17 per cent was spent on management and fundraising. Almost 95 per cent of our income came from more than 6.1 million private donors.
The International Activity Report 2016 gives details on our activities in each country, provides global financial and operational information, and reflects on the major challenges we faced over the year.
