Five MSF workers killed in serious incident in Afghanistan

Kabul/Amsterdam - This afternoon five MSF workers were killed in an incident in the Badghis region in Afghanistan. Three international volunteers and two national staff members were killed. Of the volunteers, the victims were; a Belgian woman working as a project coordinator; a Dutch man who was a logistician; and Norwegian man who was a doctor. The two Afghan national staff workers who were killed, both men, worked as a driver and a translator. No details of how the incident occurred are known. The victims have been transported to the nearest MSF compound in Khairkhana. There is no further information currently available.
