Ethiopia: Surviving a flooded refugee camp

Since the onset of the conflict in South Sudan in mid December 2013, more than 1.4 million people have been internally displaced and more than 450,000 have sought refuge in neighbouring countries, 190,000 of whom in Gambella region, western Ethiopia.

The rainy season has temporarily slowed the stream of people arriving at the camps, but flooding has exacerbated the daily life conditions of the refugees already there. Pictures by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)
