MSF team have restarted its operations in Bangladesh. They were evacuated to the capital, Dhaka, after a host of bomb attacks on August 17. Some 400 bombs exploded in 50 cities and towns across the country. Two people were killed and over 100 wounded.

The project has reviewed its security plans and the team is establishing more extensive contacts with the authorities. During the absence of the expats, national staff continued the projects, providing uninterrupted care.

MSF has basic health care and malaria projects in Khagrachari and Bandarban in the country's south-east.
